Crooked Post Vineyard was established in 2006 with the first planting of Seyval Blanc. Traminette was added in 2007 and Noiret was planted in 2008 and again in 2010. Cayuga White will be planted in 2011 and another acre of Traminette along with test rows of Vignole will be planted in 2012. Harvest Dates are scheduled from August through October.

Our high quality, hand picked and insecticide free wine grapes can be enjoyed in area wineries.

Seyval Blanc - A yellow-white variety with large, compact clusters of medium berries, winter hardiness is medium, ripens with Concord. An excellent white wine variety..

Traminette
- Another hybrid whose main parent is the French/German grape Gewurztraminer. This is an excellent grape that makes several styles of rich, spicy white wine, from dry to late harvest sweet.

Noiret - Named in July 2006 and a Chancelor/Steuben cross. Produces an excellent full-bodied , richly colored red wine with a distinct green and black pepper character and moderate tannin content. The wines also have notes of raspberry, blackberry and mint aroma. The excellent tannin structure and absence of hybrid aromas sets this variety apart from other red hybrids.

Cayuga White - One of the most productive and disease-resistant varieties grown in New York. This versatile grape can be made into a semi-sweet wine emphasizing the fruity aromas or, using oak aging, into a dry, less fruity wine. Its excellent cultural characteristics and high wine quality promise an important future for this variety.
